Wanted Design, now open (as of May 17) in Industry City in Brooklyn and starting Saturday May 20 at the Terminal Stores in Chelsea, has established a welcome reputation for promoting new talent, airing ideas, and bringing together young and seasoned designers from around the world in shows that run through May 23. MODERN Magazine asked contributing editor and veteran show-goer Paul Clemence to anticipate some of the highlights at Wanted Design in Manhattan.
KINO GUERIN
Playing with the straight line and the curve, the Quebec-based Kino Guerin pushes the limits and potential of wood bending to new creative heights. All pieces are done with a single piece of wood, with no legs, crossbars or any other additional structural/technical support.
