“Kerry MacBride’s ‘Thebes’ lamps are truly breathtaking. The system he devised for interchangeable geometric forms on the central support—which allows for countless variations in style—is ingenious. The designs in black onyx are my favorite. They echo a modern masculinity, but at the same time remain lithe and versatile. Lamps are such great partners to a room’s overall design, I feel they should stand out as unique objets d’art and at the same time exude an understated elegance, which the ‘Thebes’ collection certainly does.”
