It is that time of the year when the world of art and design takes over Gotham in a creative fest that always leaves a lasting ripple effect: new talents emerge, ideas are exchanged, design trends crystalize, and people from all parts of the world and all sectors of design meet and mingle, often resulting in future projects and collaborations. Here is a look at some of this year’s highlights at Collective Design Fair, which wrapped up May 7.

FLAVOR PAPER

Ever expanding the possibilities of wall covering, Flavor Paper’s Jon Sherman teamed up with François Chambard from UM Project to present CONDUCT. By touching conductive ink tiles embedded in the wall covering design, the viewer activates an ingenious series of kinetic, light, and sound features, making the installation come alive and creating an interactive experience beyond mere décor. At its ICFF booth, look out for Flavor Paper’s new Saguaro Sessions line of wallpapers, featuring the Gold Fool style printed on gold Mylar.
